The Dog (and Cat) Days of August

Hazy, hot and humid....that is all I have to say about the
weather here where I am in New York lately. I live in a beach community and the washing machine has been non stop with towels and bathing suits!!
The a/c has not stopped either and of course that gives
my daughter plenty of relief to play with her
dolls. Doesn't it amaze you that the kids know of no season with thier
dolls. It is 90 degrees outside and her dolls are going skiing!! :) I
love little girls imaginations and what can be created with these dolls.
So here is a cute story. My daughter puts all of her
doll clothes into one large tupperwear bin. Of course not
always putting them back as neatly as I would like her to but none the less
in the bin. Then one day I started to notice little things lying
around the house when we would wake up in the morning. Maybe it
would be a doll slipper, a wool bootie, doll socks, hats,
tiny little doll goodies. I would just mindlessly put them away not
even thinking how they got there. Just assuming my daughter just
never put them away from the day before. Then one night I am on the
computer in the kitchen and who goes walking by but my cat Bootsie
dragging a dolls sherpa coat along with her, minding her own business and
of course wanting me to mind mine too!! It was too funny to see her
drag this thing along and to realize that she had been the culprit
all along bringing out all of those other goodies everynight. I just
wonder what they are thinking when they do those things??
Anyway, below you will find some goodies I found this month for you that
is already posted to the website. I hope you will enjoy the new
Fantasy line of clothes for our dolls and girls.
Our Fall Contest is coming close and I will let you guys in on a
little secret.....It has to do with your family pets!!!!! I will
announce it in our September newsletter and on the website in
September.

Summer Vacation

As we are
preparing this newsletter the kids here in NY are gettingready to
finish school next week, which means summer vacation with
our American Girl dolls here at A Girls Treasure.
Last year for vacation we ran a fun contest for our subscribers. We
asked all the girls to send us pictures of themselves with thier
American Girl Dolls on vacation. We of course wanted to know where
they lived and where they went and then we awarded prized for
the furthest traveled, most unique destination, and best vacation
outfit. Some of you probably submitted entries into the contest.
Wasn't it fun??
This years contest is going to be
in the fall. We are going to do a Back to School Contest, so stay tuned
throughout the summer for more
details. We are also going to have some incredible prizes so this
will be an awesome contest. Keep your eyes open for your monthly
newsletters!!
